Our insistence on only choosing to sell the very best BMWs on behalf of customers has meant a very high level of interest from buyers, with October producing an all-time record number of hits on www.MunichLegends.co.uk – over 85,000 per week, up 15% on previous months. BMW owners can now sell their car through Munich Legends, achieve a higher price and avoid the hassle of advertising, maintaining, and showing the car to dozens of potential buyers. Munich Legends announces recession busting workshop discounts
Munich Legends have unveiled the latest part of their plan to take on the main dealer network by announcing workshop rates nearly 60% cheaper than the main dealer franchises’ standard rates. With all workshop parts at reduced prices this aggressive strategy is already paying off with numbers of customers through the workshop in October at their highest levels this year. Labour rates for the workshop start from as low as £49.99 per hour until the end of December 2009.
Old Friends Reunited
The Munich Legends team were delighted to receive a visit from Andrew Dale, secretary of the BMW Car Club UK to discuss special rates and exclusive offers for BMW Car Club Members. Munich’s relationship with the club goes back many years, and the new management at Munich are keen to build even stronger ties with BMWCCUK. All Munich Legends car sales stock is now available for viewing on the Car Club website and the Club magazine will be running a feature article on Munich Legends in their New Look format launched with the December issue. Munich plan to launch their exclusive ‘members only’ package in the run up to Christmas 09.
MunichLegends.co.uk proves massive ‘hit’
The Munich Web development team are delighted with the success of the new www.MunichLegends.co.uk website, launched in August, which received over 380,000 ‘hits’ in October alone. With thousands of BMW fans and owners visiting the ‘BMW for sale’ pages every day, MunichLegends.co.uk has become one of Europe’s leading online centres for used BMW sales and service enquiries. Munich Legends use Google Analytics and Elysium UK server statistics to ensure fully accurate data is available for customers to see.

The main event for the last quarter of 2009 at Munich Legends is the launch of the online (and on site) shops, with Munich Legends, Munich Motorsport, BMW, M-power and Alpina products and merchandising available 24 hours a day from the comfort of your living room. Selling Snow to Eskimos
The Munich sales team are feeling reasonably pleased with themselves, having just completed the sale of a stunning BMW M1 in October to an international collector – in Germany! The rare original M supercar was first imported to the UK by Munich Legends some years ago, and is now making its way home. With the Euro at an all time high against the pound and continental prices as stable as the UK we are often able to find buyers for high quality left hand drive BMWs.
Trojan Horse Power
At Munich Legends we are used to receiving requests from many varied sources to loan classic BMWs - to the press or for exhibitions - but we were somewhat surprised to be asked to provide three stunning Legends, an M1, Z1 and E9 CSL, to help one of the country’s largest BMW main dealer groups launch their new showroom one weekend in September. Pride of place was given to these rare BMWs and the Munich Legends stand. Even more pleasing was the response we received from our leaflets, distributed to over 1000 visitors during the two days (with our host’s approval!). With our new even lower workshop rates for all BMW customers, the main dealer network may have underestimated the appeal of an Independent BMW Dealer......
The Return of the Space Cowboy
Long term Munich Legends customer and funk superstar Jay Kay returned this autumn to snap up a beautiful E30 M3. Jay took time out from his busy schedule to visit Munich Legends’ Sussex showroom where his expert eye immediately picked out the superb Limited Edition Cecotto E30 M3. Prices are predicted to rise sharply over the medium term for good M3 E30s and Jay Kay certainly has his finger on the pulse. The M3 Cecotto should also help Jay keep in good driving shape and maintain his No 1 position on the Top Gear lap times board........Munich are also excited to have Jay Kay’s fantastic E63 M6 Silverstone II drop top for sale in our showroom. Directors Mark Ayton and Dan Norris are pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Draper as General Manager of Munich Legends. Stuart has been the powerhouse behind the scenes for over ten years and combines extensive knowledge of the BMW marque with a keen eye for customer service.

The Munich Legends team are proud to announce the opening of our revamped showroom at the end of August 2009 together with our extended workshop facilities for all BMWs and new Minis.
Our showroom manager Alex Turk has notched up over four years on the team and will be happy to welcome any customers to our new facilities.
Munich Legends would like to officially announce the retirement of Director and Founder Tony Halse. Tony helped build the reputation of the company for many successful years. Although in recent years Tony spent much time away from the showroom on business, his style and vision still influence the company today.
Tony’s son Barney has also recently moved on to other pastures. All The Team at Munich wish Tony and Barney all the best for the future – we’ll definitely be keeping in touch.
The Munich Legends family will soon be extended to a new baby in the form of Mini Legends. Mini Legends will offer the same high quality experience for Mini sales and aftercare, service and support. The launch of Mini Legends is expected for quarter 4 of 2009 and together with the Munich Motorsport division will make for an exciting and certainly fun 2010.
In August 2009 Munich Legends launches the new website. www.MunichLegends.co.uk will continue to provide the traditional content and information, but aims to bring on line a broader spectrum of services such as online Munich club facilities, track day information and other links as well as parts and accessory online shopping.

Munich Legends are pleased to announce our season of open days from August to November 2009. Our showroom will be open from 8.30am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays during these weekend extravaganzas. Munich Legends are launching their BMW full valet service. Our regular customers will be familiar with our tradition of providing complimentary valeting for all service cars. From September 2009 we will offer full or part valeting for all BMWs, between 8.30am – 6pm Monday to Fridays, and at very reasonable prices (a fixed appointment is advised). Discount valeting packages will be available for regular service customers.
