Perhaps the most iconic of all BMWs, the E30 M3 has been growing massively in popularity over recent years, with great examples like this coming available with increasing scarcity. With the S14 4-cylinder powerplant kicking out 215 bhp, the E30 M3 built on the earlier M10 engine to maximise low-rev torque. The dog-leg pattern ‘box and left-hand drive layout – potentially off-putting at first to the uninitiated – become second nature almost immediately, and the steering lives up to its light and razor sharp reputation. Great cornering, interior ride comfort and body control all come as standard, increased by great visibility thanks to those iconic slim pillars. This is an E30 M3 as all E30 M3s should be, and undoubtedly one of the best examples we have ever seen here at Munich Legends! Originally a German-registered car, it was registered in the UK in March 2002 and has had 5 keepers since then – including the current, who has owned the car for almost 7 years having actually bought it from Munich Legends.
The car is supplied with the original, German Fahrzeugbriefe, as well as every single MOT certificate since its registration in the UK and a file of invoices and paperwork – including several from services carried out here in the Munich Legends workshops. The amount of paperwork and history supplied with the car is particularly rare for any E30 M3, and indicative of how well its owners have maintained it over the years.
The paintwork retains a strong lustre, which has been brought up to its absolute best by the experienced Munich Legends valet team. As arguably one of the most iconic colours from BMW, the Brilliant Red coachwork is beautiful and eye-catching and makes this E30 every bit as attractive as it is excellent to drive. The car has already undergone some prep work in our workshops, including a full Inspection II service (with valve clearances) and throttle body air intake blocks, which have left it running faultlessly. Mechanically the E30 is absolutely brilliant, which is matched by the immaculate anthracite cloth interior that has to be seen to be believed.
