A magnificent and very rare 2002tii, fully ground up restored and in fantastic condition. Owned by an avid Australian collector since 1989, this 2002tii underwent a bare shell restoration over three years 1995-1997. Repainted in its original splendid period Taiga green, every aspect of this car has been lovingly restored to ‘as new’ condition, including engine, body, suspension, and interior. The original Bilstein suspension is still on the car, as is the limited slip differential and factory fitted front air dam in addition to the original BMW Bavaria radio (which works). The gearbox has been upgraded to an (E21) five speed ‘box. This tii is fitted with the original Turbo Mahle alloys, Dunlop tyres, and the brakes have new discs / drums. This beautiful 2002tii is number 403 of the 1298 rhd square lights built, with a 10/73 build date.
We can confidently say that this is one of the few remaining examples of a tii in such useable and maintainable condition, with no rust anywhere on the car, and having been so sympathetically restored, is now ready to be enjoyed for at least the next thirty years.
